As the Modulina system allows the user to customize a vehicle, based on the mission at hand, there is great need for the user to be able to quickly visually identify modules, without having to request digital data from the module.
Hence the Modulina Visual Identification Code™ (MVIC™) gives a fast visual cue for identifying the general function of each module, using line patterns, shapes and colors (analogous to Electronic Color Code).
The MVIC uses a series of bands (lines of specific width) encircling each cylindrical module, where each circumferential stripe wrapping around the cylinder is a mixed pattern of dashes, dots, shapes and symbols, augmented with a designated color.
Color is provided as a supplementary reference only and should not be the only means of identification, as low-light conditions (scotopic vision) and color vision deficiencies can hinder the ability to perceive colors accurately, thus impeding identification of a module.
MVIC descriptor
Additionally each module has a product code (parallel to RKM Code), following this convention:

Thus, for a module that is dual-use, intended for aerial use and has capabilities of propulsion and control, having 70 mm outer diameter of the fuselage, the MVIC Code would be:
